Raquel Videira was born on November 16th, 1993 in Coimbra, Portugal. In 2016, Raquel graduated from University of Coimbra (Portugal) with a Master of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Previously, she also graduated from the same University with a bachelor of science degree in Biology. In the second year of her master, she developed a research project concerning cardiovascular diseases, namely cardiac ischemia-reperfusion injury and cardiac fibrosis and their regulation by microRNAs in the laboratory of Dr. Miguel Mano (Coimbra, Portugal).
In 2017, Raquel has joined the groups of Dr. Paula da Costa Martins and Dr. Inês Pires to study the regulation of processes such as right ventricular remodeling and cardiac angiogenesis by non-coding RNAs, as an international collaboration between the two laboratories at Maastricht University (Netherlands) and Oporto University (Portugal).
