Burcu Duygu

Burcu Duygu was born in December in 1984.

She received her Master degree in Medical Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Groningen in 2010. Her specializations were epigenetics and aging of the stem cells.

She did internships at Medical Biology and Hematology departments  at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG).

After receiving her Master diploma (in 2010) she started to work as a PhD student in the lab of Prof. Dr. Leon de Windt under supervision of Paula da Costa Martins (in 2011). She is investigating the role of miR-199b in the remodeling of left ventricular after myocardial infarction.
